Cantu Consulting Group appointed to oversee the transition of Sacramento area golf clubCantu Consulting Group Retained by United Auburn Indian Community Monday, March 5, 2012 SAN DIEGO (March 5, 2012) Cantu Consulting Group, Inc. – a San Diego‐based consultancy specializing in hospitality management, golf course management and revenue maximization and management – has been retained by the United Auburn Indian Community to manage and facilitate the acquisition and transition of Whitney Oak Golf Club in Rocklin, CA. Whitney Oaks Golf Club is located at 2305 Clubhouse Drive – just 30 minutes east of Sacramento and includes 18‐hole, 6,794‐yard layout designed by professional golf legend Johnny Miller and Santa Rosa golf course architect Fred Bliss. “We are thrilled to have been selected to manage the acquisition of the purchase of the Whitney Oaks Golf Club,” said Cantu Consulting Group managing director Victor Cantu. “This is a wonderful investment for the UAIC and we are looking forward to working with them on the purchase of their first golf course.” As part of the acquisition team, Cantu Consulting Group, Inc. will work closely with tribal leadership for a seamless acquisition of the golf course. The Par 71 course is rated as the fifth most difficult course in the area, according to the course ratings by the Northern California Golf Association. UAIC owns and operates Thunder Valley Casino Resort — which features gaming, restaurants, entertainment, a hotel, spa and pool — just a few miles away from the golf club.
